Hello all my Friends and Family.
Back in October 2016, I switched from my role as Recreation Director of the Town of Reading to Executive Director of the Burbank YMCA in Reading. I have found a new home and a new purpose. I get to see first hand, each day, the impact we have on improving people's lives. When I arrived, I was quick to learn about our most powerful program, LiveStrong and PINK. These programs are open to those that have various forms of cancer. Our program allows these warriors to participate in strength building programs for free! The free is created by the generous partners of the Y, including our membership. It is the fundraising that we do with the Laurel Kluge Ribbon Run 5K, that helps support this initiative. Laurel Kluge was a great friend of the YMCA and our community. She would be proud to know that her name has lived on as a legacy to help other battle cancer!
I will run this year for family and friends that I care for! Please support me by running in the Laurel Kluge 5K for someone you know or contributing to my efforts to continue to help as many cancer patients the support they need to fight their battle. (Both is ok :)!
